Q: How much is shipping? What shipping service do you use?
A: For purchases under $50, shipping is $3.50. For purchases $50-$99, shipping is $5.00. For purchases $100 and over, shipping is FREE. All purchases are shipped by USPS first-class mail and include insurance. If you need something shipped two-day or overnight, email me and let me know!
Q: Do I have to use paypal?
A: No, I also accept check or money order. Email me for my shipping address and with what piece you'd like so I can take it off the website.
Q: Can you make custom pieces?
A: Absolutely! I love to work with people and try to make their ideas come to life. However, I do require a non-refundable deposit before starting work on custom pieces. Just let me know what you have in mind, and I'll do my best to create what you have in mind.
Q: Do you do returns/exchanges?
A: At this time I can only do exchanges/credits, no refunds. If you have any questions about a specific piece or would like to see more pictures, just let me know. Sorry, but I can't do any sort of return or exchange on earrings.
Q: Why can't you do exchange on earrings?
A: It's illegal in the state of California (where I live) and other states to exchange earwires because previously-worn earwires can transmit certain diseases.
Q: Can you hold items for me?
A: Sure, I can. There is no charge for the first two weeks on hold, for the month after that I require a 50% deposit. I don't hold pieces for over two months.
Q: Why do you use mainly sterling silver/why don't you use base metal?
A: I don't like to use plated or base metal materials unless I absolutely have to. I take a lot of pride in my jewelry and I want to use the highest quality materials so it keeps looking good for a long time. Plated materials are cheaper, butu they only last a few years, even with good care, and I want my jewelry to last a lifetime.
Q: So what do I do if my jewelry breaks? Do you do repairs? And can you make modifications to jewelry I already have?
A: I want you to be as happy as possible with your jewelry, so I will make modifications, but I require the buyer to cover shipping costs, materials, and labor, if it is substantial. I do superficial repairs to jewelry for free (not including shipping) but I do require payment if the labor and/or materials are substantial.
Q: Where do you get your materials?
A: Lots of places! Various bead stores both on and offline, ebay, frommy grandmother's collection of beads, and vintage shops.
Q: Do you sell your jewelry locally?
A: Yes I do! Check out the about page to see local shops that carry Honeycomb Jewelry.
